Lex hated being sick. Fortunately enough she rarely was, maybe once a year or so but when she did get sick it was usually brutal. She must have gotten lucky this year for aside from the odd wave of dizziness here and there and the nauseousness she was fine. And the tiredness but that was probably just because when she wasn’t out on missions with Alecto she was usually in bed with Rosier.
Climbing out of bed where she had spent the majority of her day she made her way over to the closet and pulled on a tank top and a pair of shorts. When she was done she made her way downstairs, stopping to lean against the hand rail when she felt a wave of dizziness hit her. Once it had passed she followed the sound of the telly into the living room in search of Rosier.
“I think you should make me soup.” Lex said as she plopped down on the couch next to Rosier. “You know because I’m sick and all and it would be the nice thing to do.” She continued, hoping he would agree because she’d already spent half an hour leafing through the take out booklets that morning and none of them delivered chicken noodle soup.
Evan was surprised that Lex was so sick lately since neither of them actually got sick. Ever. Not even when they went out in the cold rain did they get sick. Lex seemed really off so he tried to be as supportive as possible, not that it was actually helping. If anything, he felt like he was making things worse and irritating her instead of helping her make feel better. But at least he was trying, right?
He’d asked her a few times if she wanted to go into the living room to watch television with him, not that he was actually watching, but he wanted to give her something else to do besides stay in bed. Every time he’d asked, she had just muttered a no and stayed in bed, so he let her be since he didn’t want to make things worse.
When he heard footsteps, he turned his head and raised an eyebrow at Lex, who was basically dragging her feet as she made her way over to him. “I would, Carrow” he muttered as he turned his body to face hers, “but you know I’m bloody awful in the kitchen. Last time I tried to make anything, I almost burned the house down.”
